Wii Little Self

Well on Saturday Jay was playing the Wii and the twins wanted to play too. Ok so I thought 2 year olds couldn't figure things out like this, but was I wrong. They loved the bowling! Bella is a pro!! Just show her how to do it and she will do it. She played by herlse, Quinn played with Daddy's help. Well you can see from the video and pictures below that you better watch out because Bella will beat your BUTT in Bowling!!

New foods

Well I started making some more homemade baby food for Brinlee this morning. She has had pretty much the same stuff since we started her on solids, and hasn't been eating much solids lately so since she is almost 10mo. old it's time to step it up.

I found a great site called, http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com they have great suggestions, recipes and ideas. So it's time to start planning on what to make, freeze and for Brinlee to start trying. I made her the usual this morning of sweet potatoes - made those really quick in my 'Just Right' Potatoes Sack!, peas, mixed sweet potatoes and peas, bananas, and kiwi mixed with bananas.

Since I had eggs this morning and don't eat the yolk, I scrambled up the yolk and tried feeding that to her. I got some pretty interesting faces from her! Of course she's never had it before so she wasn't too happy about it or sure. We will try again in 2 day and see.

If you have any suggestions please let me know, willing to take some on and share recipes as well.

Get on up!

Ok well today was a long day, Brinlee had no nap! The past 2 days she has been on full throddle and not wanting to nap. As I type here she is back up and wide awake with Jay.

So....after feeding her dinner, giving her a bath, I rocked her to sleep. Not kidding SOUNDLY to sleep. Went to lay her down in her crib and UP she is becfore I could leave the room. So I leave the room to let her cry it out, had to do that with the twins. Well she isn't liking it, Jay was changing the twins for bed after their bath. He comes out and says, "You've gotta go look at Brinlee." Well this is what I find......

YES SHE PULLED HERSELF UP TO STANDING!! Little shit! Why do see us having to lower her crib another level already and CIO going on every night for awhile. My little baby is growing up way too fast already and she's not 1 yet! I have a feeling she will be possibly walking by her 1st Birthday. What do you think?

Infant Swim resource Week 4 - Go Quinn!

Well today was Quinn's Survival Day - Graduation you could say. He did awesome! This is the day were he wears clothes and does all of his skills to make sure he can do them as if he actually had fallen into a pool fully clothed and could survive.

I know if you don't know what this program is about, you might be shocked by what you see, but let me tell you it's truely amazing! With having twins and their personalities completely different and learning styles even a toddler like Quinn who has a huge temper, wants to do things on his own terms, etc. can grasp this.

We are so proud of Quinn and his accomplishments with ISR. Thanks to his instructors Ms. Brandi, and Ms. Katie (teacher in training) he has succeeded. It's truely amazing to see a child go through ISR, now only if they had this for adults...I can't float to save my life!

Brinlee Update

I told you I was updating today! So here is Brinlee's updated LifeBook.

Keepaboo baby book

Cake decorating in my future?

Well Aunt Marlene got the twins cake pans as a gift for being potty trained and doing well is swimming lessons, I have a feeling they are more work for me. But I love it! I decided to go ahead and make the princess one for me, well them too.

I got to test out my cake decorating skills with piping and I think I did a pretty damn good job! What do you think? I am so going to never buy a cake for their birthdays again and jsut make them myself and save money. Yes, it will be more work for me but I know they will totally enjoy it.

We cut into it today, it is very very good. I will never buy the cake frosting in the stores again and only buy the Wilton frosting because it's soooo much better! It's not as greasy. Quinn of course wanted some cake, and only ate the frosting, typical. Bella said, "I can't like cake."

Here are some pictures of the cake I made!!

New Bikes!

The twins are getting BIG! Uncle Scott got them BIG boy/girl bikes. No more 3 wheelers and onto the regular bikes with training wheels. THey wanted them together so fast. After jay got them together they got to ride them. Papa bought them their helmets, which we told them they HAVE to wear when riding. Of course there wasn't a problem with that becuase they were McQueen and Princess!

They are having trouble peddling becuase it's different than the 3 wheelers but are doing great! With practice they will have it. Enjoy the pictures.

Getting Back on Track

I know I have slacked, but so much to do and so little time as usual. Though I'm getting things done, maybe not the order I'd like but they are getting done. The kids are doing great and growing too fast.

Just a quick post to tell you, YES I am alive, and will post some pics in a little bit or later tonight so be sure to check back.

Infant Swim Resource Week 2

Well week 1 went really good for the most part. I totally forgot to take pictures. It's different trying to get 3 ready for their lessons, watching, drying them off and then remembering to take pictures :) Quinn had a rough first week trying to get back into it, his skills are there but hates to do it. Bella took awhile to get back into the great floats she was doing, and Brinlee wanted to know 'what the heck was going on!' Anyway the first week was rough but and improvement.

This 2nd week has been great! Brinlee is improving and learning the skills fast, it's so great to see what these kids can learn for survival and ISR is totally worth it!! Bella has done great, and you cans ee in the video. She is loving to swim, Quinn has gotten a lot better, but still needs some brushing up to really streamline his sequences. They loved swimming together and taking turns, I think helped Quinn a lot.

Enjoy the video I put together of pictures and some video. I will have more from week 3 this weekend, then week 4. Ejoy!
